The Allianz Group started its business in 1890 in Munich, Germany in the field of providing insurance. In 1893, Allianz began to spread its wings on an international scale, by opening offices in London, the United States, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Belgium, France, and the Balkans. On December 12, 1895, Allianz was listed on the Berlin Stock Exchange and after becoming a public company, Allianz was able to expand its market share in the world. 

Present Internationally. To date, Allianz has transformed into one of the 5 (five) largest providers of general insurance products, life insurance and health insurance in the world. On a global scale, Allianz is the largest asset manager and one of the 3 (three) largest in the world as a general and general insurance provider. Allianz is also a market leader in credit insurance, travel insurance and insurance for corporations. 

As one of the largest asset managers in the world, Allianz has managed third party assets of around 1.7 trillion Euros and serves more than 100 million retail and corporate customers in more than 70 countries with a wide spectrum of insurance products and investment funds.
