Continuing the legacy, Nelson Alter, Mr. Jacobs' son-in-law, joined the business in 1950, steering Alter’s Gem Jewelry towards unparalleled success. Under his leadership, we flourished, adding numerous stores across two states and securing exclusive jewelry and watch franchises. Alter’s became synonymous with luxury and excellence in the jewelry retail landscape.

Today, Brian Alter, representing the third generation of leadership, leads Alter’s Gem Jewelry into the future with a commitment to innovation and community engagement.
