Bharat Wire Ropes Limited, now India’s largest Manufacturer of Steel Wire Ropes. This milestone has been achieved by the commissioning of State of Art Plant in Chalisgaon, near Mumbai, India , with a whopping investment of USD78 Million, the largest ever investment in India in the field of Wire Rope manufacturing. This fully integrated plant is located at 350 KM away from Mumbai sea port JNPT.

Established in 1986, BWRL has been manufacturing General Purpose wire ropes , Speciality wire ropes, Strands, and Slings from its facilities with a capacity of 80000MT and catering to a wide variety of Industries that includes Shipping Railways, Oil & Gas, Mining, Cranes and Defense etc. Accredited by reputed agencies such as British Standard Institute and ASNI , BWRL is making great strides in the manufacturing of High Carbon Steel Wire Ropes ranging in diameter from 10mm to 90 mm with Tensile Grade up to 2160 N/MM2, , Stainless Steel Ropes, Specialized wire ropes such as Plasticated, Compacted , Non-Rotating and rotary swaged coil.

The company today has a total installed capacity of 80000 MT per annum and having state of art machinery imported from across the world. Some highlights are;

§ Fully automated German make tunnel pickling line having capacity 80, 000MT

§ Plant is equipped with zero liquid discharge, 2 stage RO and evaporation system from Steuler Germany, only one of its kind in Asia

§ South Korean make Patenting & Hot dip Galvanizing process facility with an annual capacity of 80, 000MT , with a bed length of 10meter, largest in Indian wire rope industry

§ 18 bobbins bull nose Stranding machine from SKET Germany, the only one in the world for non-spin ropes

§ SKET, German made planetary closer machine enable the plant to close a finished rope of diameter up to 90 mm

§ In-house Chemical laboratory and two destructive testing machines with capacity 100MT & 500MT respectively.

§ The Linear Manufacturing process enables smooth flow of material from input to finished product as well as facilitates TPI inspections at any stages of production
