Kunming Passenger Car Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is located in Kunming Haikou Industrial Park, covering an area of more than 162200m2. Formerly known as Kunming bus modification plant, in September 2014, Yunnan Yunnei Power Group Co., Ltd., Kunming Industrial Development Investment Co., Ltd., Kunming Public Transportation Group Co., Ltd., and Anhui Ankai Automobile Co., Ltd. were jointly reorganized.

It is the only state-owned enterprise in Kunming that has the qualification to produce modified cars (for buses of 6m and above) began to be engaged in car refitting production in 1978, began to produce trucks in 1981, began to produce city buses in 2002, then entered the National Vehicle Production Enterprises and product announcement catalog.

At present, it has the production qualification of modified large and medium-sized passenger cars, logistics vehicles, sprinklers, refrigerated vehicles, garbage trucks, RV, ambulances, and other special vehicles, and has the production qualification of electric motorcycles. The main products the company currently exports are electric mini pickup trucks.
