Ticket Defenders Professional Corporation is the result of a merger between two esteemed paralegal companies with a rich history in Ontario. Founded in the early 1980s by Charlie Nagy, a retired Waterloo Regional Police Officer, Streetwise Paralegal laid the foundation for our firm. With over 30 years of experience, our roots run deep, surpassing most paralegal companies in the province.

In 1999, Kevin Burrows, a lawyer, acquired Streetwise Paralegal and appointed Jim Wittig, a retired OPP Officer, to oversee the paralegal operations. Over time, the firm evolved, with a former Prosecutor joining our ranks to fill Jim's role after he pursued independent practice and later worked as a Provincial Prosecutor.
