BAB Distribution GmbH

BAB Distribution GmbH was founded in 2011. The company is run by two “old hands” in the IT distribution business, managing partners Murat Arpaci and Andreas Bajohr. Other partners are Olaf Biemelt and Wortmann Beteiligungs GmbH.

The company was founded as another part of the Wortmann group of companies (group turnover over 2 billion euros). Since then, BAB Distribution has not only worked in close cooperation with Wortmann AG (with an annual turnover of over one billion, Wortmann AG is one of Europe’s leading, independent IT manufacturers) but can also draw on the synergies of an entire group, such as its own leasing and financing company.

In the field of IT distribution in the European IT market, BAB has quickly earned a name for itself as a competent and cooperative storage distributor. Right from the start, it was able to win well-known manufacturers such as Toshiba, Seagate, Samsung and Western Digital as contractual partners. BAB is now one of the storage distributors with the highest sales in Europe.

Over the years, BAB has gradually expanded its product portfolio to include entertainment and household electronics. Here, too, BAB has been able to enter into partnerships with well-known manufacturers such as Roborock and Govee.

In addition, BAB took a new path in 2023 and started distributing components for renewable energy solutions. With Ecoflow, BAB has gained a strong partner and at the same time the market leader for mobile energy supply. The focus here is on portable power stations and balcony power stations, as well as home storage solutions for photovoltaic systems. Through the collaboration, BAB offers the most innovative and reliable mobile energy solutions.

BAB Distribution GmbH is headquartered in Hüllhorst. Until April 2014, the BAB office building was located in Bünde Ennigloh. In May 2014, the company moved to its own building in Löhne / Mennighüffen. Over 1000m² of office space and over 10, 000 m² of storage space are available here.
