Energetic structures use an electric pump to circulate water via the collector. In heat climates, a right away (or open-loop) system is sensible: town water is going into an insulated storage tank.

A pump attracts water out of the garage tank to pass via the solar collector and cross again into the tank. hot water for household use is drawn from the pinnacle of the storage tank, sometimes passing through a booster heater. An automatic control system begins the pump every time the collector is warmer than the garage tank.

In freezing climates, the rooftop part of the gadget should be covered either by draining down while the temperature dips, or via walking an antifreeze answer. those cold-weather structures require temperature sensors, electric pumps and automatic manipulate systems, including complexity and cost to the set up.
