Established in 1999, Inch Blue is a British brand and manufacturer specializing in leather baby and toddler shoes. From our factory in the South Wales Valleys, each pair of shoes is designed, cut, sewn, and hand-finished by our skilled team.

Born from a need in the UK market for a baby shoe that mimicked the benefits of barefoot walking, Inch Blue has grown into a well-known brand name, sold in independent stores in over 15 countries worldwide.

We strongly believe that barefoot walking gives little ones the best start but when this isn’t practical our shoes have been designed to imitate this, which is why podiatrists recommend them as “the next best thing to bare feet”.

Ideal for crawlers and first walkers, Inch Blue shoes are designed to imitate barefoot walking whilst being fun for babies and practical for parents. Walking barefoot helps develop the foot’s muscles and ligaments, and increases the strength of the foot’s arch.

Our soft, flexible soles allow pre-walkers and toddlers to feel the ground beneath them, helping to develop a sense of balance, improving proprioception, and contributing to good posture.

The lightweight nature of our shoes allows for natural ankle, knee, and hip movement. Natural leather allows feet to breathe helping to regulate temperature. The functional style means our shoes slip on easily and stay on thanks to the elasticated ankles.
