 Vibroflotation  is a ground improvement technique used in geotechnical engineering and construction to increase the load-bearing capacity and reduce settlement of soil in areas where weak or loose soil conditions exist. It involves the use of specialized equipment, typically a vibrating probe or vibroflot, which is inserted into the ground.

The vibroflot is then vibrated at high frequencies, causing the surrounding soil particles to densify and rearrange. The water streaming and flat vibratory activity of the vibroflot acts to compact the free soils into a denser condition and essentially move forward the bearing capacity of the treated ground.
