Persian borage (Echium amoenum Fisch. & C.A.Mey.) (in Persian: gol-e gav zaban) is an endemic Iranian plant. flower petals are pink when fresh and turn to violet–blue after drying.
Dried petals has long been used in traditional medicine of Iran. Iranian borage are much larger than the blue, star-shaped flowers of ordinary borage (borago oficinalis).
