Thailand also exports frozen and processed durian products, such as chips, candy, ice cream and juice. Thailand’s main durian varieties are Monthong, Chanee and Kanyao.

Malaysia is another important durian exporter in Southeast Asia. It has a diverse range of durian varieties, such as Musang King, D24, XO and Red Prawn. Malaysia mainly exports fresh durian to Singapore, Hong Kong and China. Malaysia also produces durian paste, cake and mooncakes.

Durian export is a lucrative business that can boost the income and livelihood of farmers and entrepreneurs. However, it also requires careful planning, investment and innovation to overcome the challenges and opportunities in the global market.
