Solid bearings are incredibly simple but highly effective component containing a bearing surface and a mating component. It's role is to guarantee linear or rotational movement between two parts. They have low coefficient of friction, have good sliding property, reduces heat generation, provides substantial wear resistance, have thinner wall section that requires less space to be housed.

These bearings are intended for both radial and axial oscillating movement and are suitable for low rotating speeds. These bushings are resistant to shock loads and vibrations. These bushings are  corrosive environment, insensitive to dirty environments, can operate with lower quality shaft surface finish. They are provided oil holes and grooves to retain lubricants. These bushings are easy to install, lightweight, and cater to a host of applications.

These bearings are cast in copper alloys as they offer broadest range of applicability. These bearings are centrifugally / continuous / sand casted in cylindrical and flanged cylindrical shapes and machined to precision tolerances. They are low cost and virtually maintenance -free and as such used in many diverse applications.
