Catalase Enzyme
Catalase Enzyme from Aspergillus Niger through controlled fermentation, is a pivotal solution in various industries like textile, beer, food processing, and more.
With an effective temperature range of 20-60°C and pH of 5.0-9.5, our liquid-grade enzyme, available in 200,000u/ml and 400,000u/ml, liberates 1μmol hydrogen peroxide per min at pH 7.0, 30°C.
Working Mechanism
Catalase make hydrogen peroxide as the specific substrate, through catalytic a pair of electron transfer, finally degrade to water and oxygen.
Properties
1. Effective temperature:20-60℃, optimum 40-55℃.
2. Effective pH: 5.0-9.5, optimum 6.0-8.0.

2. Unit definition: The amount of enzyme which liberate 1μmol hydrogen peroxide per min at pH7.0, 30OC.
Application
1. In the textile industry, Catalase can remove the residual hydrogen peroxide after bleaching, shorten the process, save energy and water, and reduce pollution for the environment. Recommended dosage: 0.3-5ml/L(50000u/ml), in proper condition dealing 10-30mins.
2. In the food and fresh milk industry, Catalase can remove the residual hydrogen peroxide. The recommended dosage is 50-150ml/ton fresh raw materials at 30-45OC for 10-30mins. There is no need to adjust pH (50000u/ml).
3. In beer storage and sodium gluconate industry, Catalase need to use with glucose oxidase, it is used in residual the oxygen of beer and turn glucose into gluconic acid. The recommended dosage is 2000-6000ml/ton dry matter with a concentration of 30-35% pH, about 5.5 at 30-55OC for 30 hours.
4.In pulping and papermaking industry, Catalase can remove the residual hydrogen peroxide after bleaching pulp, the recommended dosage is 100-300ml/ton bone dry pulp at 40-60OC for 30 minutes, no need to adjust pH.
