Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (MUFG) is a Japanese banking and financial services company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. It is one of the largest banks in the world by total assets and is a member of the Mitsubishi Group of companies. It operates through several subsidiaries and affiliates, including the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU), Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Holdings Co. Ltd.

As of September 2021, MUFG had total assets of ¥346.4 trillion (approximately $3.2 trillion USD) and employed approximately 155,000 people worldwide. In recent years, MUFG has focused on expanding its digital capabilities and investing in new technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence. Mizuho Financial Group was formed in 2003 through the merger of Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank, Fuji Bank, and the Industrial Bank of Japan. Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank was founded in 1971, while Fuji Bank was established in 1948 and the Industrial Bank of Japan in 1902.
